A Texas-based soldier is still missing in North Korea and the Pentagon believes he is in custody of the regime's military.

US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin says, "we believe that he is in DPRK custody." So far, the North Koreans are saying nothing and no one knows if Private 2nd Class Travis King is safe.

This week, King ran into North Korean territory and has not been heard from since. King was in South Korea on duty with the US Army First Armored Division's First Armored Brigade Combat Team based at Fort Bliss in El Paso.

He was reported missing when he did not arrive in El Paso where an Army escort was waiting to deliver him over for disciplinary proceedings at the post where King was trained as a US Cavalry scout.

In South Korea he was detained following a bar fight earlier this year. After serving nearly 50 days in jail, he was released to American military custody and processed to return state-side.

But after being escorted to the international airport in Seoul, he vanished and turned up with a civilian tour group at the DMZ dividing South and North Korea.
