Computers are down at the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles Thursday morning following reports of a nationwide cellular outage affecting AT&T, Verizon and other providers.
The office of the Tarrant County Tax Assessor Collector tweeted that computers are down statewide and they are unable to 'look up vehicle records or process motor vehicle transactions' at this time.
Tarrant County also says they can accept cash and checks on property tax payments but their online payment systems for credit or debit cards are down. They apologized for the inconvenience and say they will update as soon as systems are back online.
It is unknown whether this issue is related to the nationwide cellular outage.
