The western two-thirds of Texas is under High to Extreme fire danger today.
The Extreme danger is in parts of the Panhandle and far west Texas.
The Texas A&M Forest Service counts three active fires remaining across the state, 230 acres in Foard County, 400 acres in Taylor County and 600 acres in Nolan County. All three are at least 80 percent contained.
