A Galveston man who is mad because he's serving a 30-year prison term following his ninth DWI conviction has lost his last appeal.

The US Supreme Court has declined to hear the case of 62-year old Clifton Tribble. Tribble reportedly took a plea deal on the advice of his attorney when facing his ninth charge for driving while intoxicated, and agreed to a 30-year prison term.

The lawyer warned Tribble that he faced a 50-year sentence if the case went to trial.

Tribble agreed to the terms, then years later decided he didn't like it. He has been trying to convince the court that he got bad advice from the attorney. He even represented himself on appeal.

Now the US Supreme Court has declined to hear his appeal, meaning he will now have to do the full sentence through 2031.
