North Texas has some of the most deadly freeways in the state.
New research from MoneyGeek looked at 10,000 fatal crashes in Texas over 2 years.from 2017 through 2019. North Texas has 6 out of the top 10
The freeway with the highest percentage include I-35E in Dallas at the Mixmaster intersection with I-30 with 4 fatals for every mile of road.
Second on the list is Highway 67 between Camp Wisdom and Illinois in south Dallas.
Loop 12 landed fifth overall. It also had the highest number of fatalities in Dallas between 2017 and 2019.
MoneyGeek also says I-20 had the most fatal wrecks in Texas during that period.
And a quarter of the fatals are blamed on drunk drivers.
