Late this past June, a couple of thieves found their way into Sexology Institute, an adult store in San Antonio, and made off with a ton of merchandise.
Surveillance video caught the thieves breaking through the front door, and stuffing their bags full of sex toys, lubricants, and lingerie before leaving the scene in a truck. There’s one particular item of interest they stole as well.
Sexology Institute manager Jasper St. James told the San Antonio Express News, “We came in to empty racks. They took the world’s most extravagant vibrator and they were done.”
St. James told the paper the toy was valued at $10,000, and was a “favorite” among customers, who would often take pictures with it.
The store was forced to close its brick-and-mortar and online shops in order to restock.
The store wrote per Instagram, “We feel incredibly violated and our hearts are broken. As a small business this loss not only impacts us financially but emotionally as well. We know it will get better but even re-watching the videos of what happened makes us so anxiety-ridden. We are so glad no one was hurt and we completely understand things could have been worse, but it’s still awful.”
The thieves, who took nearly everything in the store, including the cash register, have not been found nor even identified.
