The trucker charged in a Van Zandt County murder has now been identified as a man named Jason Williams from Danville, Illinois.
Police reports say a woman driving on I-20 was shot to death this week and Van Zandt County Constable Pat Jordan says the fatal gunfire came from a passing semi truck.
Jordan says Williams told him he'd gotten into a quarrel with a passenger in a car alongside his rig and he claims the woman threw something toward the cab.
While the woman died, three others in the car were not hurt.
Investigators found a pistol in the cab of Williams' semi truck. In addition to murder, he's also charged with three counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
