The UIL's Executive Committee heard testimony from Andrew Cameron, who used to be the offensive coordinator for Galena Park-North Shore High School.

Reports show Cameron admitted trying to recruit players from other schools. That's a violation of UIL Rules.

Members of the executive committee ruled that he should be suspended from any UIL-related activities for at least three years. That's consistent with the punishment for other coaches who have been caught recruiting.

They noted that Cameron admitted to the violations, apologized, and resigned from the school.

Galena Park-North Shore has won three state football championships since 2015.
