These days we already have to worry about our packages being stolen from our porches. Now, we also have to worry about our watermelons.
We can’t blame porch pirates for those thefts, though.
Security camera footage from a home in Corpus Christi showed a wily coyote picking up and making off with whole watermelons from Tammy Huffman’s home.
Huffman told KIIITV, “We had no idea it was coyotes for a long time. Recently, they've gotten braver and started doing it even in the broad daylight.”
While Huffman says she enjoyed watching the coyotes from a distance, she’s decided to remove the watermelons from her yard for fear that the coyotes will move on to making off with one of her neighbors’ children or small dogs.
