On Saturday, Lubbock voters will head to the polls to decide whether or not to decriminalize the possession of small amounts of marijuana in the city. It’s a step a handful of other Texas cities, including Austin, Denton, Elgin, Killeen, and San Marcos have already taken.

In response, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton sued those five cities earlier this year.

The drug is not legal in Texas, though derivatives of it are. You can find, CBD and hemp products as well as Delta 8 and Delta 9 at vape shops around the state.

The municipal election in Lubbock – and across Texas – is Saturday, May 4.
