Another shock to the body is heading our way! The Arctic cold front is cruising through Oklahoma right now and will arrive here in north Texas by mid to late morning!

In the meantime, enjoy these mid to upper fifty degree temperatures, because they won't last too much longer.

Unfortunately, no rain is expected in DFW along the front, but there could be a few showers east of Dallas through mid afternoon. The big weather story will be the sharp drop in temperatures... down into the thirties by this evening. Windchills will be in the upper teens by the time you head to bed. Please make sure you take your winter weather precautions seriously. Pets, pipes, and plants!! A hard freeze is on the way, with morning lows tomorrow in the low to mid twenties. Windchills will be in the single digits in some areas!

A very strong upper level disturbance will cruise across the southern half of the state tomorrow into early Friday. This has prompted Winter Storm Watches (6am Thurs-6am Fri) for Austin, San Antonio, Fredericksburg, Laredo, and Del Rio! Travel may become dangerous in these areas, especially on bridges and overpasses.

We'll stay high and dry and very chilly here in north Texas. High temperatures tomorrow will only be in the mid to upper thirties. Windchills will be in the twenties all day long.

Another hard freeze is expected Friday morning, with lows in the low to mid twenties. Sunshine will greet you on Friday, but it'll remain cold with highs in the low forties.

The weekend is looking nice, with a slow warm up. After another freeze Saturday morning, temperatures will warm to near 50゚ by afternoon. We'll be pushing 60゚ with sunshine on Sunday.

By Monday, clouds will increase with a chance of showers late in the day. Highs will be in the low to mid sixties. A few leftover showers may linger into Tuesday, with readings in the mid fifties.
