A pretty benign weather forecast over the next 7 days with mild afternoons and cool mornings. Unfortunately, we don't see any rain in the forecast through the upcoming weekend.
We're waking up the temperatures in the upper 40s to low 50s under a clear sky with a light north wind this Veterans Day. Plenty of sunshine today with afternoon highs reaching the mid to upper 70s. We hit 81° yesterday.
A very stable weather pattern is shaping up for our new work-week. The storm track will continue to be to the north of the Lone Star State. A west to east flow will continue in the upper levels of the atmosphere, so the chilly air will stay bottled up in northern Canada. Cool mornings and mild afternoons will continue. We'll reach the mi 70s tomorrow, upper 70s on Wednesday as a dry cold front comes through close to dinnertime. This will knock temperatures back to near 70 for highs on Thursday low 70s on Friday and mid to upper 70s this weekend. Again, no rain is in the forecast.
By this weekend, southerly winds will return and so will the Gulf of Mexico moisture. At the same time, an upper level low will dig into the desert southwest and slowly eject through the four corners area into early next week. It's still too early to tell if this upper level will stall to our West bringing us a chance of rain by the middle of next week. Also, it's too early to say how chilly the air will be following this system a week before Thanksgiving. Some data suggests it will be quite chilly. Stay tuned!
