54 consecutive days without measurable rain and 32 triple digit days so far in 2022. We are now in the top five for consecutive days with no measurable rain at DFW. 84 days is the record set back in the year 2000. These are terrible records to talk about.
Our drought continues to worsen as well as our high grass fire danger continues across the entire state. Over 90% of all brush fires are caused by human error.
If you're one of the lucky ones tomorrow and Saturday, you could see a gusty thunderstorm in your backyard. I hope you see some rain!

Temperatures will be around 103 today and tomorrow with Heat Advisories in effect, 102 Saturday and Sunday, 103 for Monday and Tuesday of next week and 104 for Wednesday.
This heat is relentless and no changes are expected until possibly the end of next week into the following weekend. The upper level ridge of high pressure may drift further to our north giving us an easterly flow across the state. This will bring disturbances off of the Gulf of Mexico and the southeastern United States, possibly increasing our rain chances and cooling temperatures off a bit.
