Heavy rain will continue to affect North Texas through the morning and afternoon Monday. Therefore, a Flash Flood Watch is in effect throughout the day.
Since yesterday late afternoon, DFW Airport and Dallas Love Field have measured almost 7 inches of rain and an additional one to three inches of rain, with isolated higher totals, are possible across all of north Texas through the day.
As we work our way through the afternoon and evening, the heaviest rain will start to press south of Interstate 20. The flash flood threat will continue through this evening in these areas. By tomorrow, the heaviest rain will be across Central and far east Texas, with only scattered showers and storms possible across north Texas. Afternoon highs today will stay in the 70s. We'll reach the low to mid 80s tomorrow.
