
There have been 860 flight delays and 250 flight cancellations at DFW International Airport due to the weather, and at Dallas Love Field officials say 72 flights have been cancelled and 140 others have been delayed so far.
More than 600 flights were delayed at Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport early Monday morning as several inches of rain fell across North Texas.
Six hundred twenty flights were delayed at DFW as of 10:30 a.m., impacting primarily American Airlines, SkyWest, and Envoy Air, according to the flight-tracking website FlightAware. An additional 143 flights were canceled, the majority on American.
At Dallas Love Field, 55 flights were delayed, mostly on Southwest Airlines, while 72 Southwest flights were canceled.
All inbound flights to both DFW and Love Field were being held at their point of origin until 9:15 a.m., but the ground stop was lifted after 10 a.m., according to FlightAware.
