More of the same through the weekend

More of the same through the weekend

**COOL MORNINGS, WARM AFTERNOONS AND NO RAIN IN SIGHT!**

Good morning, North Texas! Welcome to almost Friday!

What you feel is what you get, folks! We're looking at a stretch of cool mornings and pleasant, warm afternoons through the rest of the week and into the weekend. An upper-level ridge of high pressure continues to dominate our weather, keeping conditions quiet. Unfortunately, these ridges also tend to keep our rain chances at bay.

**YOUR NORTH TEXAS FORECAST**

**TODAY (THURSDAY):** We're waking up to clear skies, light winds, dry air and temperatures in the 50s. With that dry air in place, temperatures will climb quickly, pushing afternoon highs into the low 80s, around 83 degrees.

**FRIDAY:** Another cool start, with temperatures in the 50s to low 60s, followed by afternoon highs in the low 80s. Some locations west of Fort Worth could reach the mid-80s! If you're heading out to high school football Friday evening, the weather looks fantastic. Temperatures will gradually fall through the 70s, making for comfortable conditions to cheer on your favorite team.

**SATURDAY THROUGH MONDAY:** We'll see increasing cloud cover this weekend, but don't get your hopes up for rain just yet! Highs will reach the low 80s Saturday, around 80 degrees Sunday and near 80 degrees Monday. Enjoy the comfortable weather, but keep those watering restrictions and ongoing dry conditions in mind.

**NEXT TUESDAY:** Our next cold front is expected to move through North Texas, bringing a slight chance of rain. However, we won't have a strong flow of Gulf moisture to work with, so much of the rain could remain west of our area. We'll continue monitoring the forecast as the front gets closer.

**LOOKING AHEAD:** Temperatures will ease back into the mid-70s Wednesday and Thursday, with morning lows potentially returning to the 50s in some locations.

**THE BOTTOM LINE:** No widespread rainfall is expected anytime soon, and we're not seeing a major blast of cold air on the horizon either. Enjoy these comfortable, fall-like conditions while they last!

That's all I've got for you from the KRLD Weather Center!
