There were numerous Flash Flood Warnings and anywhere from 1-4 inches of rain across much of North Texas on Wednesday morning. Areas west of Interstate 35W hadn't seen a drop of rain as of 7 a.m., except for Johnson County. The large cluster of storms will be completely out of North Texas later Wednesday morning and temperatures will approach 90 degrees.

Thursday through Saturday looks mainly dry, hot, hazy, and humid. Afternoon highs will reach the mid-90s, but when you factor in the oppressive humidity, the heat index values will be above 105 degrees during the afternoon hours. A few scattered late-day storms may also be north of DFW Friday evening.

The next weather change arrives late Sunday evening into the first half of Monday, as a pretty strong cold front for this time of the year moves through the area. It looks like there is a decent shot of widespread shower and thunderstorm activity. The rain should slowly press off to the south by late Monday. We will also enjoy a cool northerly wind behind the front. Monday's high will struggle to get above 80 degrees with mid-80s on Tuesday.
