Legendary musician and composer, Danny Elfman, credits Paul Reubens with almost his entire life, and called KROQ to share some of his earliest Pee Wee memories. Elfman, would go on to score both Pee Wee movies and credits that’s with “literally launching my entire career.”
Elfman’s viral Coachella set from 2022 had him performing The Pee Wee Big Adventure theme in front of new and old fans alike, and he told Klein and Ally while rehearsing that song for his upcoming SoCal shows, he and the entire orchestra had emotional moments to reflect on Pee Wee.
As for any additional tributes at his shows this weekend, Elfman said we will take some time to honor Paul, and it will get very emotional.
