SAN CLEMENTE, Calif. (KNX) — A three-year-old boy and his 16-year-old cousin who were the subject of an Amber Alert out of Tennessee were found safe on Thursday in Dana Point.
California Highway Patrol issued an endangered missing advisory for Noah Clare and his cousin Amber Lynn Clare more than more than a week after they were last seen with 35-year-old Jacob Clare, who's car was impounded in Orange County on Tuesday.
Tennessee investigators said Noah's mother reported that Jacob, her ex-boyfriend, failed to return their three-year-old to her at the end of a scheduled visitation on Nov. 7. An Amber Alert was issued by law enforcement in Tennessee on Nov. 16.
Sixteen-year-old Amber, who is Jacob's niece, is said to have left her home in Beaver Dam, Kentucky. She was believed to be a runaway.
Investigators said Jacob purchased a silver Subaru Legacy on Oct. 30 — nearly a week before his visit with Noah.
The car was later spotted on Nov. 7 in Arizona — the same day he allegedly took Noah — "fully loaded with clothing, camping gear, and other items," according to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigations.

That same car was impounded Saturday by a tow company in San Clemente and reported to authorities once employees realized it was connected to an Amber Alert.
Deputies received a tip from a concerned Dana Point resident around 8:50 a.m. on Thrusday about a boy matching the description of Noah Clare. Responding officers found the boy and Amber. Jacob Clare was taken into custody.
So far Jacob Clare has been charged with one count of custodial interference and especially aggravated kidnapping. He is also wanted by the Beaver Dam, Kentucky Police Department to face charges of kidnapping and custodial interference, investigators said.
