Authorities Tuesday identified a man who was killed in an apparent gang-related shooting in San Pedro over the weekend, and detectives sought the public's help to solve the crime.

Officers were sent to the 400 block of West Oliver Street about 10:30 a.m. Sunday, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

Jose Anthony Monge, 21, of San Pedro died at the scene, the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner reported on Tuesday.

The shooting was believed to have been gang-related, police said. No arrests were reported, and no suspect information was available.
