COMPTON, Calif. (KNX) – Dominguez High School in Compton will be closed Tuesday after firefighters battled a blaze inside the school’s cafeteria.
Firefighters from Compton, Los Angeles County and Downey responded to the school at 7:15 p.m. Monday and stayed on the scene until 3:15 a.m.
Tuesday, according to KCAL.
“The fire got up into the attic and spread across the roof,” Compton Fire Department Battalion Chief Jim McCombs told KNX News. “Part of the roof actually collapsed.”
