A 57-year-old Hidden Hills woman has been charged with fatally running over two young boys then fleeing the scene, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office announced today.

Rebecca Grossman, 57, faces two felony counts each of murder and vehicular manslaughter with gross negligence. She also faces one felony count of hit-and-run driving resulting in death.

Grossman is scheduled to be arraigned Wednesday.

On September 29, 2020, Grossman was allegedly speeding on Triunfo Canyon Road in Westlake Village, when she struck and killed 11-year-old Mark Iskander and his brother, 8-year-old Jacob Iskander, who were crossing the street in a crosswalk with their parents. After allegedly striking the children, Grossman continued driving, eventually stopping about one-quarter mile away from the scene when her car engine cutoff.

If convicted as charged, Grossman faces a possible maximum sentence of 34 years to life in state prison.

The case is being investigated by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
