Hollywood writers are getting back to work now that the strike is over, leaving a complete return to production in the hands of SAG-AFTRA and studio negotiators.

However, some are concerned that even when the actors reach a deal, production in Hollywood will stall due to significant scheduling issues.

Variety's TV Editor, Michael Schneider, told KNX In Depth, "As everyone goes back to work at the same time, there is a finite amount of talent out there - if you want to get the best directors, if you want to get the best crew members, everyone's gonna be scrambling to get those people at the same time."

For example, Schneider said, "Harrison Ford, he's on two shows at the same time...So which show is in first position, and then what happens to the other stars on those shows? What happens to the directors and everyone else?"

Schneider said only time will tell how bad the crunch gets, and we won't know until SAG-AFTRA reaches a deal, but the momentum seems to be there for positive movement in negotiations now that the writers are happy with their contract.
