In regards to the coveted ChampagnePapi IG follow MOD SUN tells us “like bro, Drake is someone that I feel like that has somehow affected like every single person on this planet… I’m such a Drake fan, and now like… I’ve been listening to Drake songs different now.”
Aside from hitting up Mod on the gram, Drake also followed Machine Gun Kelly. So like, what’s really going on here? We are pretty sure we need a pop-punk crossover from the “Certified Lover Boy” now. “I remember when he hit up Kells, and in my head, I was like I wonder if Drake is like a secret, huge, blink-182 fan…like how rad would that be,” laughs MOD SUN.
Linkin Park and JAY-Z Collision Course 2021? Maybe not. However, Mod does hint, “I do see a band forming between me, blackbear and Machine Gun Kelly very soon…”

The artist also delves into how he and blackbear came together for their newest track, “Heavy,” and says, “I had this song for about a year and a half, holding it, wanting to specifically drop this at a time that I felt like this energy was perfect.” He continues to share that the first person to come to mind for this track was always blackbear. “It just sounds like blackbear’s world,” explains Mod.
MOD SUN and blackbear have been friends and collaborators for over a decade. The “Hate the Way” artist used to play bass for MOD SUN back in the day. “Without saying too much, he’s really actually the realest kind of best friend.”
