If you’ve come up with a horrible invention idea, don’t fret — you could still make it on late night.
Jimmy Fallon recently crowdsourced some horrible invention ideas for a “Tonight Show” segment dubbed #MyWorstInvention.
The bit pulls tweets marked with the hashtag to bring front-and-center some of the wackiest creations thought up by random people on the internet.
Some of the inventions are culinary in nature (if by culinary, you mean beer-related).
One example included one user’s beerbed concept.
“Instead of filling up a waterbed with water, you fill it with beer. Then just put a straw in it and drink. If you get drunk and pass out, you’re already in bed,” read one tweet.
“I put a pint of ice cream in a beer koozie so I can eat it while keeping my hands warm,” read another.
“That’s going in the good pile,” Fallon exclaimed as he smacked the card that he read the last one from on a different part of his desk than the others.
Some other horrible ideas included a drumstick taped to a golf club to change the channels on a TV, a parachute made out of garbage, strings and tape that a user luckily did not get a chance to try out when they were 10, and “chip soup.”
The last one is even grosser than you can imagine.
“I once crushed up potato chips and mixed it with water. I called it ‘Chip Soup.’ My dad made me eat it as punishment for wasting food,” the tweet read. That’s some tough parental love.
One prolific Twitter user rattled off four of his prolific 215 horrible inventions, complete with pics.
“I’ve built 215 horrible inventions over the past 21 months,” the tweet began. “Here are 4 of my favorites: the OneButt Jeans, the TearRings, the Gator Grips, and the Avocado on a stick.”
