SANTA CLARITA, Calif. (KNX) – Los Angeles County deputies arrested the man they say was caught on camera beating up a teenage boy outside a Valencia coffee shop.

Regan Coultas, 46, of Palmdale, was arrested Tuesday for felony child abuse, according to the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff's Station. He remains in custody at this time.
On Aug. 16, deputies responded to a call of a man involved in a physical altercation with a juvenile outside Havana Savannah coffee shop on Copper Hill Drive at 3 p.m.
Video posted on the Instagram account What’s Up Santa Clarita Valley showed a man in a green shirt wrestling a teenage in a vacant parking space. Witnesses are heard yelling “Call the cops” and “You’re choking a kid!” A female was seen trying to pull the man off the teen as a crowd gathered to help intervene.
Ricky Harmison, who was working at the shop when the fight occurred, told CBS News the man was angry when a group of teens were trying to walk into the store at the same time he was leaving.
“(The man) told a group of the boys that they need to get back if they don't get back, he's gonna fight them, beat them up. Them being boys, talked back to him,” Harmison told the outlet.
Harmison also said he did smell alcohol on the man’s breath and that he was stumbling as he got up. He also said the boy received “scuffs and bruises.”
Multiple outlets say students from Rio Norte Junior High frequent the shop after school.
