The aunt of a missing Maui woman told KNX News her niece tried booking a flight at LAX late Monday before her disappearance.

Hannah Kobayashi, 30, was supposed to be traveling to New York City to visit a relative, but she didn’t make her connecting flight at LAX on Nov. 8.

Larie Pigeon, Kobayashi’s aunt, told KNX News the family received confirmation that an American Airlines ticket agent talked to her about re-booking her missed flight to New York that Monday.

“She actively spoke with a ticket agent for 30 minutes about getting on a flight,” she said. “After that, we have confirmed sighting of her getting on a Metro with an unknown individual that the family has not recognized, appearing to be out of sorts from what we can see.”

Pigeon said Hannah exited the train around the Pico station.

Hannah's dad, uncles, aunts, and friends have flown out to Los Angeles to look for her.  They are focusing around the Pico area, but are also not ruling out other locations.
