For the second consecutive year, MusiCares is providing aid to those in the music industry with their “Help for the Holidays” program.

Although many music venues across the United States have reopened their doors and are scheduling shows again, musicians and those in the industry are still feeling the residual effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Due to the success of last year’s program, MusiCares is bringing back its “Help for the Holidays” to help musicians in need.
“Even though live music is making a comeback, many in the music community are still struggling after months of lost income,” Laura Segura, Executive Director of MusiCares said in a statement.
“We want to emphasize that our community is still in need of extra support to cover basic needs. We hope this year’s gift card distribution will ease the burden and spur others to donate and support music professionals.”
MusiCares is offering $250 e-gift cards from Kroger and Walmart that will help cover the purchase of essential items like food, gas, and prescriptions.
The program is open to the first 4,000 eligible applicants as applications are now available for those that meet the eligibility requirements.
