Saturday is a great day to get out your dancing shoes as it's National Dance Day!
According to the American Dance Movement, the holiday was created in 2010 and is celebrated on the third Saturday of September.
“American Dance Movement (ADM) believes that participation in dance connects the mind and body, promotes health and wellbeing, connects us with others and enables us to find joy through dance and movement,” ADM said.
One of those people who found that dance has improved their health is Jess, who takes bachata classes at Steven’s Steakhouse in Commerce.
“It actually works better than my physical therapy,” she told KNX News’ Nataly Tavidian.
