South LA taco stand robbed at gunpoint, suspects sought

LOS ANGELES (CNS) - Police Thursday were investigating an armed robbery of a taco stand in the South Los Angeles area, the latest in a recent series of similar crimes.

No injuries were reported in the robbery that occurred about 10:25 p.m. Wednesday at Manchester and Towne avenues, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

Two men armed with handguns robbed the business and fled on foot, police said. Both were described as Hispanic, in their 20s, about 5 feet, 8 inches tall and wearing dark clothing.

According to Fox11, this was the second time the taco stand had been robbed this month.
