Audacy host Mike Adam caught up with Garrison Burgess, Jeffery Jordan, and Spencer Stewart of The Band CAMINO this week at the Hard Rock Hotel New York to talk with them about their second studio album, The Dark, which arrived on August 11.

Mike jumped right into the conversation with an etymological discussion surrounding the word 'conversate' -- part of the lyrics in The Band CAMINO's latest single, "See You Later." While he grew up using the word 'converse' when talking about, well... talking -- after some research, he found the band is actually correct. "I grew up with 'conversate personally,'" says Spencer. "My mom also had a funny little slap-back on somebody's Instagram page... 'It totally is a word, for sure.'"
The group's fashion choices tend to rival their broad vocabulary, as Jeffery explains they were "going with a zany, kind of eclectic look" for the song's video.
Now residing in Nashville, TN, the Memphis natives didn't necessarily choose to keep their home base close to where they grew up. "We just kind of fell into it," Jeffery says, although he admits their immediate surroundings likely make their way into their music "a lot more than we even can tell. I think [our music] just has a lot to do with community and the people that we are surrounded with."
Along with the new release comes their Screaming In The Dark Tour with North American dates scheduled featuring Bad Suns, Charlotte Sands, and The Wldlfe kicking off on September 14 in Philadelphia at The Met and wrapping in Nashville on October 21.
