Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Trevor Bauer has been on paid administrative leave since July 2 as an allegation of sexual misconduct made against him is investigated.

A civil hearing for a temporary restraining order requested by the alleged victim took place on Monday. Bauer's accuser testified to details of a sexual encounter between the two she said became nonconsensual.

Bauer's accuser testified that the pitcher slapped her face, choked her to the point of unconsciousness, and punched her several times during an encounter in May.

"It was like I wasn't even a human being," she told the court.

Bauer's attorneys have claimed that his accuser has not been truthful in her characterization of events. In court documents, they said pictures of her alleged injuries were "edited or filtered to give a misleading or false impression of her injuries." They also claimed she "deliberately mischaracterized her medical records to obtain maximum media attention."

Bauer has denied the allegations in their entirety and insisted any sexual contact between himself and his accuser was consensual.

But The Washington Post has reported that another woman has sought a protective order against Bauer after accusing him of punching and choking her during sex.

In a statement, Bauer disputed The Post's reporting, calling it a "false narrative." He criticized the paper's reporters for contacting "hundreds" of his female friends and acquaintances.

Bauer's representatives have accused the second woman of filing a "bogus protection petition" while demanding $3.4 million for her to 'remain silent.'" In a statement to The Post, they described her abuse allegations as "categorically false."
