A $100,000 reward for information leading to an arrest in the case of a mother and son who were shot to death in 2016 in Carson has been put up by the city and other sources.
Michelle and Jordan Love were found dead in a family car in front of their home. KNX News’ Pete Demetrious reported Michelle’s ex-husband, Jose Love, said there haven't been a lot of leads in the case.
“There are reasons for that, you know, one of course is the fear,” Jose said. “But number two is that they're concerned about their anonymity with the law enforcement because as we know in minority communities, there is a lot of distrust between the citizens and law enforcement.”

He said that a further increase in the reward may prompt somebody to talk to authorities. L.A. County Sheriff’s Homicide Detectives don’t consider this to be a cold case and continue to actively pursue any leads or tips that come in.
In the meantime, a picture of Michelle and Jordan stands in the family home surrounded by eight unlit memorial candles. The candles will be lit when the case is solved and somebody is convicted.
