Detectives from the Los Angeles Police Department’s South Traffic Division are asking the public for any information that would lead to the identification of a driver involved in a fatal hit-and-run.
An elderly woman, approximately 91-years-old, was hit while walking across an alley on Ellendale Place south of Adams Boulevard 7 a.m. Monday, according to police. The vehicle was backing up in the alley when a suspect hit a pedestrian.
The LAPD shared footage of the collison.
The driver exited the vehicle and appeared to see the pedestrian laying on the roadway. The driver then stood near her vehicle for around three minutes before returning to her vehicle and leaving the scene without helping the pedestrian.

A reward of up to $50,000 is available to any one who provides information leading to the offender’s identification, arrest and conviction through the city’s Hit and Run Reward Program Trust Fund.
