ALTADENA, Calif. (KNX) – One California resident is over $2 billion richer.

The single winning ticket for Monday night’s Powerball lottery drawing was sold Joe's Service Center on Woodbury Road in Altadena, lottery officials announced.

The ticket matched all six numbers ---10, 33, 41, 47, 56, and Powerball number 10.

The overall jackpot was a whopping $2.04 billion, making it the largest lottery jackpot in U.S. history, according to City News Service.

Joe's Service Center owner Joseph Chahayed told City News Service representatives from the California Lottery broke the news to him Tuesday morning. Chahayed received a $1 million bonus.

"I will share it with the family ... with my kids, my grandchildren," he said. `I have 11 grandchildren, and I have to share with them."

But Altadena was the only place in California that scored some wins. Lottery officials said three more tickets in the state matched five numbers, but missed the Powerball numbers. Those tickets came from Gardena, Beaumont and San Francisco.

The winning numbers were announced Tuesday morning after a technical glitch delayed Monday night’s drawing.

No tickets had been sold matching all six numbers since Aug. 3.
