As we approach the holidays, the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) is preparing for a surge of COVID-19 cases, and is seeking to raise awareness about the critical importance of getting boosted, testing regularly, and acting quickly to get prescribed a COVID-19 treatment if infected. Dr. Sona Aggarwal, Medical Officer with CDPH, shares the public health message that COVID-19 treatments are free, widely available, and highly effective at preventing severe illness and hospitalization.
