Last month, a video of 40 cows escaping from a slaughterhouse in Pico Rivera went viral, the images of cows running loose on city streets sparking memes and jokes from the media. But there’s another side to this story – that of the cows. Jen Sale is Founder and Executive Director of Sale Ranch Animal Sanctuary in Temecula, a refuge for animals discarded by the food industry. She explains how this non-profit is helping to provide a "happy ever after" for farm animals.
