Shelter to Soldier is a non-profit trying to change the statistics for both our nation’s veterans and furry friends by adopting dogs from local shelters and training them to become psychiatric service dogs for post-9/11 combat veterans suffering from Post Traumatic Stress, Traumatic Brain Injury and other injuries associated with traumatic service experiences. Director of Operations and Training Nicky Moore discusses the "Sisterhood of Service" event they're hosting along with the Zero8Hundred Foundation on Thursday, May 18th at the Mission Beach Women’s Club.
