The Padres defeated the Orioles 5-2 on Sunday, bouncing back from a loss on Friday to take two in a row from the Orioles and win the series on the road. Walker Buehler pitched well, allowing just one run and not issuing a walk in five frames. Rodolfo Duran and Fernando Tatis Jr. starred for the Padres, with each driving in a run in the second inning to put the Padres up 2-0. Duran hit a 2-run homer in the 7th inning to give the Padres a 3-run cushion, and Tatis Jr. added an insurance run in the top of the 9th inning on a sac-fly where Will Wagner was initially called out on a bang-bang play at the plate, but was ruled safe upon review. Mason Miller earned a 4-out save, retiring each of the four batters he faced in order while recording three strikeouts. The Padres will travel to St. Louis for a series against the Cardinals beginning on Monday.
