PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Restaurants on East Passyunk Avenue are gearing up for one of the biggest street festivals of the year in South Philly: Flavors on the Avenue.

On April 28 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., the East Passyunk Avenue Business Improvement District will hosts its annual festival, which Executive Director Adam Leiter said is a great way to explore one of the city's most popular and growing restaurant corridors.

"We have a mile-long business corridor altogether," he noted, "but five of those blocks spanning from Broad Street all the way up to Dickinson will be shut for Flavors."

The closest subway stations are the Snyder or Tasker-Morris stops, and Leiter suggests the best strategy is to take public transportation.
