Campaign launched to get all Delco hospital workers a meal on Easter Sunday

PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio)  An effort is underway to provide all workers at all six hospitals in Delaware County with dinner on Easter Sunday. The public can help by covering the cost of meals.

"Food For the Frontlines" is a campaign launched by Delaware County tourism folks and Drexel Brook Special Events.

Steve Byrne, executive director of Visit Delco, PA, says providing a meal for someone involved in combating the COVID-19 crisis is the least that can be done.

"They’re the ones that are on the frontline right now, and sometimes they are overlooked and not appreciated. We just want to show our appreciation for what they are doing and what they’ve done for us and let them know as a community we are supporting them,” Bryne said.

A donation of $9.50 will cover the cost of each meal.
