U.S. military posts, bases and embassies are on high alert following threats of retaliation from Iran. But in Philadelphia, the police department said there are "no credible threats to our city at this time."
However, they added, "Out of an abundance of caution, we have deployed additional resources to key locations."
One of those is Lincoln Financial Field.
"There might be additional assets in the air, the perimeter of security may extend a little wider than just the stadium," explained J.J. Klaver, retired supervisor and special agent with the FBI's Philadelphia field office.
He told CBS 3 Eyewitness News that people should live their lives as always, and let security handle any possible threats.
"You go about your business, you do what you do, and you trust that the security apparatuses are in place and that security is being handled by the professionals," Klaver said.
According to Klaver, greater threats are overseas U.S. targets, but here in Philadelphia, tourist attractions and sites with historical significance like the Liberty Bell and City Hall will also likely have increased security.
A city spokesperson told CBS 3 that there are extra patrols still in effect at places of worship, following recent attacks in New York and Texas.
