WILMINGTON, D.E. (KYW Newsradio) — A Delaware man is accused of making and distributing child sex abuse materials involving multiple children.

Thomas Twilley, 30, of Bridgeville, Delaware, is charged with producing and distributing child pornography by the U.S. Attorney's Office in Wilmington.

Prosecutors said they were tipped off that Twilley was involved in sharing child sex abuse materials online during another investigation and were able to connect an account named ‘MommyLuvsTots’ to him. They said that account created and distributed 47 images involving children that were about three to five years old in a chat network.

Police said the images were initially created between September 2021 and March 2022.

Twilley was investigated by state authorities last year after a child reported that he molested her, but charges were never filed because there was insufficient evidence, according to court records.

If convicted, Twilley faces a minimum of 15 years in prison. A federal hearing is scheduled for next week.
