Two years ago, Jason Ramseur had a stroke while having brain surgery. Now, the 33-year-old Philadelphian is working to recover, and part of the recovery includes going to the MossRehab's Young Empowerment Stroke Support Group, a first of its kind in the country.
"It's great to be there with other survivors and feeling the push to keep getting better everyday," Ramseur said.

Ramseur and other members of the Y.E.S.S. group got a visit Tuesday from Flyers legend Brian Propp, who is also a stroke survivor.
Propp came in to talk to the group about his life since having a stroke.
"It's all about hope, and getting better and rehabbing and staying positive," Propp said.

Propp, a five-time all-star and one of the Flyers' all-time leading scorers, says when he first had his stroke, all he was able to say was Bernie Parent - the name of another Flyers legend. Now, he's able to get on the ice twice a week.
"My right hand doesn't work that well, so I can't shoot that well. But the goals aren't that good, so I can still score and do a couple guffaws," he said.

For Ramseur, the time with Propp gave him a chance to share some of his rehab goals.
"I want to get back to snowboarding, and of course dunking the ball," Ramseur said.
