PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Federal workers in Pennsylvania who are impacted by the government shutdown will be able to get some help at a free resource fair Tuesday.
The Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry is holding the resource fair at the United Way of Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey, which is located 1709 Benjamin Franklin Parkway. The fair runs from 12:30 to 4 p.m.

January 21, 2019 The department has activated its Rapid Response Coordination Services to help workers. Information on applying for unemployment compensation, locating food pantries, and getting financial advice will be accessible. Agencies involved include L&I's Unemployment Compensation Service Center, Philabundance, and Clarifi, the consumer credit counseling service of the Delaware Valley.
These services are state and federally funded and are being provided free of charge.
