The initiative, called Those Who Care for Our Community, matches workers with therapists at no cost.
“We're providing free mental health services to health care workers, including doctors, nurses, hospital workers, EMTs and paramedics, as well as other people working on the front lines: grocery store workers, transit workers, and delivery people who are exposed to COVID-19,” explained CEO Deb D'Arcangelo.

Everyone is being affected by the pandemic, so D'Arcangelo said it’s imperative that people pay attention to their mental health.
“We all feel the pressures and the changes in our lives,” she said. “It's really important for people when they feel that they need to talk with someone that they do so.”
For health care workers in particular, they’re experiencing an unprecedented volume of patients.
“They are under some stresses that we have really not seen before in civilian times,” she added.
However, she said thoughts of suicide should be addressed immediately.
