Moorestown Township police say they found at least 17 randomly tossed fliers outside homes in plastic bags, weighted down by corn with messages from a group claiming to with the Ku Klux Klan on Jan. 27. The word "proverbs" appeared on the fliers with a picture of a statue of a civil war era solider on a horse, saying "eternal vigilance is the price of freedom."

While the department says it firmly supports the right of free speech, it doesn't condone acts like this, calling them cowardly and unsettling to residents.
Just two years ago, fliers featuring homophobic and racist messages with KKK contact information were found in Moorestown and Cinnaminson.
"I'm driving now and i'm looking beside me. I'm looking around," said Marlene Hall, who lives in the community.
Hall says she's fearful and concerned for her 14-year-old son.
"How do I protect him while he's enjoying his neighborhood just walking around?" she said.
Police have reached out to the local NAACP and other groups to keep them informed moving forward.
