Steak 48 chief brand officer Oliver Badgio said plans to open the steakhouse at Broad and Spruce streets in the Atlantic Building are still in the works, and they’re waiting for the green light to open their doors.
"It will be certainly a phased opening,” he said.

The Philadelphia steakhouse will be the sixth location in the country — the five other restaurants are located in Chicago, Arizona, and Houston.
Steak 48 staff members will be trained beginning June 5, when the region is expected to move to the governor's less restrictive "yellow" phase. Badgio said they will follow proper social distancing.
They’ve also redesigned the layouts of their other restaurants to space out diners.
"Leaving all of the tables and adding large floral arrangement centerpieces and candles on all of the tables that won't be seated,” he explained.
He said hand sanitizing stations have been added in those other locations, with staff members being instructed to stop there between all interactions. Dining is also by reservation only.
"Our staff are wearing masks. We're doing temperature checks when the staff arrives,” he said.
Menus are disposable, but there's also the option to have the menu transmitted to your phone through a QR code.
"Our entrees are served on a hot plate, on a sizzle dish, so they're used to using a servette, a napkin, to not touch the plate. We've extended that to all of the plates,” he said.
