PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio)  As Major League Soccer gets set to resume in Orlando, Union Coach Jim Curtin says he and his players are also looking to be more proactive in speaking out against racism as protests continue across the country.

"It is a time for all of us to come together to help out, to speak up, to listen, to get to know each other on a closer level and work to improve things," he said.

Meanwhile, the season will resume next month with all 26 teams playing in a tournament at the Disney World Wide World of Sports Complex.

After the tournament, the teams will continue with a revised regular season schedule, and Curtin says the league has made it clear keeping players safe through the pandemic remains the top priority.

"It's obviously a very serious pandemic that's going on. It's something that our league is taking every precaution," he said.

Curtin says he was tested twice for COVID-19.
