Philly man sentenced to more than 11 years in prison for Brinks truck robberies

PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — A Philadelphia man has been sentenced to 11 1/2 years in prison for his role in a series of armed robberies targeting armored trucks last year in Philly and Elkins Park.

According to the United States Attorney's Office, 27-year-old Dante Shackleford pleaded guilty in April to one count of robbery, three counts of attempted robbery and weapons offenses linked to four Brinks truck robberies between July and Oct. 2025.


The defendant admitted to stealing $119,100.

Shackleford’s co-defendant, 24-year-old Mujahid Davis, pleaded guilty on March 27 to two attempted robberies and two robberies of armored trucks, as well as weapons offenses. He was sentenced last week to 11 years in prison.
